This bassoon has been fully tested and serviced by our woodwind technician to ensure complete function and the best possible sound. This is a 2004 Oscar Adler model 1356 bassoon. It is an excellent quality student/intermediate model, manufactured in Germany to a very high standard of construction.

Note: this model is sometimes referred to as “short-reach”, but this is a little misleading. Although it has a few additions to improve reachability for younger or smaller players (such as the extended G key seen in photo no. 9), it is not nearly as accessible as some of the heavily modified models available on the market today.

There are very few bassoons of this quality available on the second-hand market, and even fewer have been professionally service. For a new player looking for the highest-quality instrument they can find at an affordable price, this item would be ideal.
